Now this is just plain stupid!

I know many people that either smoke pot occasionally or take prescription medication (carried in other than the large pharmacy bottles) that are upstanding citizens. The lunchtime dosage for my medicine could be possession of a controlled substance if some overzealous cop wanted to charge me at a traffic stop and it would not matter if I could prove the legal prescription in court.

 Let us take it a step further shall we? Say there is a known gun owner in the neighborhood (a fine upstanding individual). However the homeowner down the street saw the gun owner loading a few guns in his car for a trip to the range and does not like the fact that guns are in the neighborhood. Or the local drug trafficker, burglar or other criminal sees or hears of this. What would stop them from planting evidence and tipping off law enforcement so that the upstanding individual is stripped of his rights to defend himself?

I bet we see a surge in clip/magazine sales!

 Gun sales are still at high levels and the prices for pre-ban high capacity magazines rose after the last time they "banned" them.

The current laws are enforced, the Arizona shooter was a protected mentally unstable citizen with nothing on his record because the law enforcement official in charge did nothing to stop or control him. We need a better way to deal with the mentally unstable not the current gun laws.

Update on 5 gallon buckets!

I found and purchased four 5 gallon buckets for water storage this week at Lowe's. They are not white but they were cheap. They are gray with the Lowe's  logo in blue on the side made by a company called Encore and are stamped HDPE 2. The company website says all their products with one exception are food grade (This is not the exception). You can find them on the Lowe's Website here lids are sold separately for a total of $4.06 per bucket. At this price I will add several a week and use the previous video below to treat and store drinking water. The buckets are also stack-able and will go in a corner of my basement.

 Also I picked up the chlorine test kit in pool supply section at Walmart on sale for less than $5 so I am all set. It has been a good week with this and the 9mm ammo purchased.

Based on this article the recommended ammo for my 9mm is Remington 115 gr. hollow-points. I have been looking for 9mm rounds at a good price and most online sites are out of stock for good American made 9mm rounds. However I found a good deal today and ordered the Remington 115 gr. hollow-points from AmmunitionToGo .


 I have used this ammo before and found that I prefer it however it is nice to see this article confirm my findings.
