This weeks preps

I have not posted this weeks preps in a while as it has all been food items lately. I have been buying bulk and putting it away in 5 Gal. buckets (may takes some pics and post on that later). This week I decided to purchase a new Concealed Carry weapon.

Smith & Wesson 637 Revolver
Smith & Wesson 637 Revolver, Small Sized, 38 Special, 1 7/8 Inch Barrel, Stainless Finish, 5 Round Capacity, Fired Casing, Fixed Sights With a Galco Gunleather Ankle Lite™ holster.

I have been carrying this all week and am now used to wearing an ankle holster. I left the weapon in the car while at work wearing the holster only. As soon as I get off work it goes back in the holster. This is now my EDC as it is much more comfortable than the IWB holster I was using.

Oh and today I ordered more of these.

  1. That's a nice piece, but I've always preferred to have a similar one in .357

That way, you always have the option of shooting both calibers. That being said I keep the .38 + P in my Taurus .357, because the self-defense .357 rounds hurt like heck. :)

  2. Thanks Matt! I have +P in this one as well. This model is a very light Airweight (15 oz / 425.3 g empty) so it is hardly noticeable to carry and small enough to conceal well. I have several other revolvers and have standardized on the .38 special +P ammunition for all of them as the wife has trouble with the .357 rounds & I want to store as few calibers as possible.
