DUTIES:

As an Enforcement & Removal Assistant (OA) you will:

Research detainee history using multiple sources to establish identity/citizenship and manage detained and non-detained dockets;

Provide administrative support to managers, supervisors or staff members by assisting in the day to day management of the office’s activities;

Summarize and tabulate detainee information from various reports, utilizing a variety of databases and automated systems;

Generate and verify detainer reports, encounters, charging documents, studies, data quality and create and revise spreadsheets, charts, graphs and presentations; and

Exercise quality control over bond paperwork.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

GS-5 :
You qualify at the GS-5 level if you meet one of the following:

Experience :
One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-4 level performing duties such as: performing a variety of recordkeeping, reporting, and informational duties; compiling, maintaining, and updating automated records; and responding to requests for procedural information.

Substitution of Education for Experience :
You may substitute successful completion of a Bachelor's degree or a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a Bachelor's degree for the experience required at the GS-5 grade level. This education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university. One year of full-time undergraduate study is defined as 30 semester or 45 quarter hours.

Combining Education and Experience :
Appropriate combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience also may be used to meet the total qualification requirements for the GS-5 grade level.

GS-6 :
You must meet the following to qualify at the GS-6 level:

Experience :
One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-5 level performing duties such as: routine functions (e.g., booking and record searches) associated with processing those arrested or detained by law enforcement officials; examining legal documents for completeness and accuracy and then routing them appropriately; and, providing routine information on specific and clearly defined questions and issues regarding law enforcement policies, practices and procedures.

SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTORS :
In addition to the above minimum qualification requirements, applicants must demonstrate in their application that they are:

Typing Certification :
You must be able to type at least 40 words per minute. You can self-certify by submitting a statement that you can type this speed.

General Office Skills:
Applicants must possess knowledge of general office automation software, practices, and procedures.

A Selective Placement Factor (SPF) is a special qualification requirement that is in addition to the minimum qualification requirements essential to successfully perform the duties of this job. SPF certification and skills must be documented in your application. Applicants who do not provide SPF certification and skills will not receive further consideration under this announcement.

Probationary Period:
This is a full-time permanent position (Career/Career-Conditional appointment). Upon appointment to this position, you may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.

Proof of Education :
If basing your qualifications on education, you must submit transcripts or list of college courses, with credit hours, major(s) and grade point average or class ranking. (Prior to appointment, an official college transcript will be required.) This education must be from an institution accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

If you meet the minimum qualifications, your experience, education and training will be rated using an Assessment Questionnaire. Based on your responses, you will be placed in one of the following categories:

Best Qualified :
Applicants possessing a background that demonstrates a superior level of all evaluation criteria.

Well Qualified :
Applicants possessing a background that demonstrates a satisfactory level of the evaluation criteria.

Qualified :
Applicants possessing the basic qualifications, with general knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Applicants in the best qualified category will be referred to the hiring manager and may be called for an interview.

  2. You do not qualify and neither do I with the (Indoctrination) degrees and prior military experience or "the total qualification requirements" of education plus experience. Right now I am making more using my brains knowledge and skills working for a small business that appreciates the employees (Most all are conservative gun lovers)who work hard.

    Figured as much I have not seen ENFORCEMENT AND REMOVAL ASSISTANT posted before.

  3. Dude I live near Louisville. We get 4-6 military helicopters per week. 4-6 state/fed/unmarked helos, and last night I saw my first drone. We got more feds in this regon than ya'll can throw a VW at.
