1985!

There have been so many changes since this Thanksgiving message in 1985!

Contrast that to this lying (e.g."You didn't build that") President.

I was going to use i.e. and got curious as to usage so I looked it up and found this " It may be difficult to memorize Latin words, so pretending that "i.e." stands for "in essence" or "in other words", and "e.g." stands for "example given" can help.". So i.e would be something like "that individual effort does not count". Just because I only have an associates degree in electronics engineering don't mean that I can't/try to learn more (LOL).

Holiday

Got the garden cleared of tomato plants and vines, got the leaves up and shredded, cut the grass and placed all back in the garden for compost. Cleaned out the gutters that were full of leaves. I figured this two days of work of this four day weekend for me however rain is forecast for today and I was in a hurry.

While I was outside working K made us a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner and I ate to much as is usual for this holiday.

It was a good day!

Stop feeding the beast

"What’s our best chance? I asked."

“Well, there is fear in DC, real fear, of not secession itself, but the spirit of the people behind the secession movement. If the people figure it out in time, unite and say no more for you until you get your act together, well, like I said, it is this that they fear the most.”

" As we were about to part, my friend looked at me and said that things are about ready to get bad across the country, “like Hurricane Sandy bad.” He continued, “like I told you, a perfect storm is in the making. The agenda is the ‘takedown of America from within.’ You see it unfolding before your very eyes with the military, and the loss of political will by the establishment right to fight for their country. Next, it’s the economy.”

Meetings

I met someone today that I respected but have never seen in person. It was a good meeting and I am pleased. I feel better about some of the "Community" and I am now more open to getting more involved than I have ever been. I do not know if this person monitors my blog however I would like to say a special "Thank You " for your time as I enjoyed our conversation. Even though it was guarded from both sides it was enough to make me comfortable as we agreed on many issues.

I am very suspicious by nature and training and although I believe that this was displayed on both sides there was a comfort level that was acquired. To me my word is my bond and my integrity is all I truly own that cannot be taken from me unless I choose to give it away. I have not chosen this in my adult life as it is my most prized possession.

If this will pan out I do not know however I feel that I must reach out to like minded individuals to see if I can make some new true friends. People that you can count on to watch your back, and you theirs are extremely rare these days!

A Nation Adrift

"However, in order to weather the potential catastrophe looming over the horizon and the tumult inherent in a requisite change of direction, the American people must begin to acknowledge that throughout history, the key to peace and prosperity lies in a relationship with God and striving to live by traditional moral and ethical guidelines. In the 1840's Alexis de Tocqueville wrote: "Liberty cannot be established without morality, nor morality without faith."  Once established, liberty cannot be sustained without a just and moral society"

Family Veterans

At my uncles funeral yesterday I learned a lot about my family that I had not realized.

Uncle Kenny was a Marine in the Korean Conflict. He never spoke of his service to anyone.

Uncle Darrell may he RIP was a Tank commander along one of the secret borders that we were never at in Europe and no records remain. He even got shot in the ass from a Russian Sniper as they skirmished often and I never knew it (He also never received any recognition or a purple heart as he could not have been shot if we were not there). He was buried with the bullet still in his butt and now I know why he always had a slight limp.

My father was in the Air Force and stationed in Vietnam before the US entered the war. He was assigned to an airbase to help the French forces there at the time. The Red Cross even sent a telegram to his mom that he had been killed while in that country (Thank God that it was a mistake).

All three brothers served their country proudly and seldom spoke about their service. I was given some photo albums yesterday I had never seen before, here is one of pages.

To the left, including my former Republic!

"Let me get this straight with you right now before we go any further. If you think you are entitled to my money because you are "in need," then I don't want you to have it. Your attitude makes you unworthy of it. I have needs too. Why are YOURS more important than mine?"

Crying Time Is Over

Yesterday the markets took a big hit. Was it people cashing out of 401K's? I cashed what was left of mine out last summer for beans, band aids and bullets. I will no longer pay my fair share and find flea markets, fruit stands and other places where I can avoid feeding the beast.

I will take every "legal" advantage to reduce what they take from me such as starting a losing business and writing it off to get MY money back. I agree with Craig!

I went back to work this morning....

And people were PISSED! Not just coworkers but customers and others that I encountered. One stated that he was moving to a friends place in Texas when they secede. I have never seen the right so fired up. I mostly just laughed and asked them what did they expect? Our Republic is long gone. The few blank stares I got back were priceless.

One honestly asked "But how could this be?" and my response was that well over half of the nation works directly or indirectly for the government to include those on welfare and unemployment and the people voted for their pay. We as a nation sold our morality in the name of helping some people at other peoples expense. We have taught immorality and selfishness for too many years and this is our curse for not altering this path when we had our chances.

Now is the time!

We have just passed the last fork in the road that may have delayed our fiscal doom. TPTB will now be much more unrestrained in their quest to destroy our economy. Goodbye coal, good bye cheap goods and services. Gather your assets close to you and prepare as this will probably start slowly at first but happen none the less!

Watch for business to continue to withhold capital, and more to close as they have been waiting to see if our path would alter. Many will decide that it is no longer worth trying when most of what they earns will support those that do not earn. Costs will continue to rise as our economy steeps into further decline. I for one am glad that the waiting time has been reduced. And will watch with glee as the MSM continue to shout "ALL IS WELL".

Winter is upon us and the storms are approaching. Do what you can to survive folks. Who know how bad it will really get?
